Historic Threads was started as a side line to our main Precision Engineering Business DWS Engineering.
We have been established for 13 years machining all manner of components for various firms in our area. Ranging from Precision Welded parts to Aerospace testing systems, Steam engine Crank shafts and complex expansion links and gear. Using the latest 3D Cad-Cam designing software we can turn some of the most complex computer models into real parts.
We have a range of CNC controlled machining centres and multi-spindled, driven tooled Lathes. Allowing completed components being machined in one operation. This helps keep our costs down and remain competitive on our prices.

As well as machining we offer a coatings service. Any parts requiring additional surface treatments can usually be achieved by one of our suppliers. We even offer an in house Aqua Blasting facility that can leave parts with a remarkable surface finish.
